“Marty Cagen told us that product is hard, and he's correct… it is hard. That’s why I work with clients to try and make big, hard things simple. I get people excited about driving positive change and working to common goals. I reverse engineer back from big, complex things to small chunks of value that can be quickly tried and tested. Finally, I collaborate with other disciplines to drive quality as being product-led is a multidisciplinary approach.”

Paul Featherstone
Product Transformation Consultant & Coach

Digital Product was launched in 2014 as a place for those who love digital products to access free information and resources that would help them on their journey to adopt a product-led approach in their organisation.

Over the past twenty years, I’ve had the privilege of helping transform, scale, and mature product functions and teams at leading consultancies and household names, including Virgin, NHS, Benenden Health and HSBC. I've also worked with rapidly scaling start-ups and scale-ups, helping them create and standardise product processes and build operational capability.

I now help guide senior leadership teams through the changes in mindset and culture required to move their organisation from feature factory, project-based one to one where empowered product teams drive value.

The ingredients...

Make hard things simple

Make big, hard things simple. Break things down and go back to the underlying problem over solutions.

It’s all about people

Get people excited about driving positive change and working toward common goals.

Small tests

Reverse engineer back from big, complex things to small chunks of value that can be quickly tried and tested.

Do it together

Collaborate with other disciplines to drive quality as being product-led is a multidisciplinary approach.
